About Me
As a mother and aunt of neurodiverse and gifted children, I have walked the path that many parents are following in trying to help their children to be well adjusted, successful and happy individuals. My own family journey inspired me to give those families with similar stories to mine the help that was so difficult to find when my children needed it. As an empathetic person, I have a strong connection to my clients and a real sense of how they are feeling, yet I’m still able to maintain the professional distance required to guide them to achieve their goals and find joy
I have a special interest in teens, but I am also able to assist adults for the conditions listed. I have a Master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Cape Town and an Honours in Psychology from Unisa. I am registered with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) and have worked at Hope House for several years in a counselling capacity treating clients from all walks of life with varying challenges.
